for someone. If I not mistaken it will take 50 years umm come on really. Can someone shed some

light on that for me if they can O.O

Welcome mate! 🙂

I'm afraid you're correct.  From the Australian migration website

Current estimated processing time for Remaining Relative and Aged Dependent Relative visa applications that meet the criteria to be queued is approximately 50 years.

It really does suck and practically discounts this visa as an option. I'd recommend you consider an alternative.

All the best

Mark

Greetings and thanks for the welcome if there was a alternative way I would jump on

it in a heart beat but for me it will never happen.I have a job been in the same field for

22 years and does not mean a lot to Aus its a retail job and its never going to be on the

SOL list or the other one.its a job that they can pay and fill with no problem their.and the

age thing to I know they want young ppl and anyone over a certain age they seem to frown

at.It sucks I know but what can you do O.O

Hi @sfjohn5 Fair enough.

I would highly recommend you seek an assessment from a qualified migration agent to fully understand ALL options available to you.

Please see this article on how to identify an appropriately qualified agent.

https://gettingdownunder.com/migration-agents-how-to-find-a-registered-australian-migration-agent/

Most good agents will provide an initial assessment for free.

Cheers

Mark

Hi @sfjohn5, the health of your suster is unlikely to influence your application.

The Australian migration folks take a very black and white approach to migration unfortunately. More personal circumstances are unlikely to be taken into account.

Best of luck! 🤞

Ah yes, the joys of time differences @sfjohn5 😐  Did you engage with an Australian based agent?

one so far and  she said My hourly rate is $600 plus GST Once we are instructed to act, you provide your passport and full residential nor contact details, will request you to pay $3000 on account of our costs into our trust account. I

am looking for the one that will do an initial assessment for free.

Yes, go the free self assessment route mate, don't be afraid to shop around too. That sounds quite expensive. 😲
