In this segment, we join Park Trek Walking Holidays and Visit Grampians on a four-day short break hiking through the spectacular Grampians in regional Victoria.
The Grampians is an economic rural region located in the western part of Victoria, Australia. The 48,646-square-kilometre (18,782 sq mi) region lies to the northwest of the western suburbs of Greater Melbourne, to the state’s western border with South Australia and includes the Grampians National Park and significant gold mining heritage assets.
The Grampians region has two sub-regions, Grampians Central Highlands and Wimmera Southern Mallee
By 2019 the 144-kilometre Grampians Peaks Trail will be completed, allowing hikers to walk the entire length of the range. At present about a quarter of the trail is complete.
We enjoy four days of superb walks around the majestic peaks, returning each evening to cosy chalet-style accommodation in Halls Gap. Most meals are included, along with transport from Melbourne and our guided daily walks.
