Interpreting pronunciation from a word's spelling poisoned me to an extent, and I confused mispronunciation with accents. For example, until I watched this video, I had never noticed that "off" sounds different from "of", and naively believed that pronunciation variations are due to people's accents which are absolutely normal and should not be focused on.

I noticed you swallowed the t when pronouncing catalogue in the video. Obviously a common thing in Australian English. I wonder if judges care about that in this IELTS thing. I don't know what IELTS is I just found this vid teaching my 3yo sounds :) Great vid.

Although I lived in English speaking country for years, people always found it difficult to understand me. That's all because of my wrong pronunciation. I learned your method and practiced it every day and now people can understand me without any effort. Thank you very much sir.

As a South East Asian, sometimes I swallow the "s" at the end of a word when my voice is not the clearest.

"EE" thanol or "EH"thanol – I'm curious as to how IELTS would define "Native like" for words pronounced differently in different native English countries. I myself am English and will be sitting this test for PR visa purposes very soon. What I am unsure about is if this test (sat in Australia) is looking for the pronunciation of words with a more Australian lilt as opposed to my own English accent (as that is not going anywhere anytime soon).
