Kangaroo Island – The Best Place To See Kangaroos and Koalas in Australia

Wondering where the Best Place To See Kangaroos and Koalas in Australia is? What if I told you it was a magical place called Kangaroo Island?

Kangaroo Island lies off the mainland of South Australia, southwest of Adelaide. Over a third of the island is protected in nature reserves, home to native wildlife like sea lions, koalas and diverse bird species.

In the west, Flinders Chase National Park is known for penguin colonies and striking coastal rock formations, like the sculpted Remarkable Rocks and the stalactite-covered Admirals Arch.

Kangaroo Island is an incredible place to visit in Australia. The island is Australia’s second-largest (after Tasmania) and is located close to Adelaide in the state of South Australia.

A short car ride followed by a scenic ferry trip brings you to this wildlife paradise. There are lots of things to do on the island from diving and sandboarding to tasting local wines.

Where Kangaroo Island really comes to life is its great nature and wildlife. The coastline is amazingly beautiful and wildlife such as Kangaroos, Wallabies (and even very shy Koalas) can be found everywhere.

You could stay for a week (and some people never leave), but 3 days is a great amount of time to explore the best of Kangaroo Island.

5 Dollars to see pelicans eat? That's silly, who are you paying? Nobody owns the pelicans.
