Mid-year update to South Australias Occupation Lists

Occupations Added and Special Conditions Removed

The team responsible for South Australian Australiam immigration intake has conducted a mid-year review of its occupation lists – the State Nominated Occupation List (SNOL) and the Supplementary Skilled List (SSL). Changes will take effect on the afternoon of 11 February 2019.

Occupations added to the SNOL for the remainder of the 2018-19 program year

ANZSCO Occupation Additional Requirements Skills Assessment Authority
323299 Metal Fitters and Machinists nec Competent English TRA
323313 Locksmith Competent English TRA
351211 Butcher or Smallgoods Maker Competent English TRA

The remaining changes mostly reflect the reintroduction of selected occupations that had reached the special conditions status (on the SNOL) or which were no longer available to offshore applicants (on the SSL).

Only limited places have been made available across these occupations, with the additional places made possible due to the level of refusals in earlier applications that did not meet Immigration SA’s stated requirements or Department of Home Affairs minimum requirements.
