The Whitsunday Islands in Queensland, Australia is home to the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen. From the famous Whitehaven Beach and Hill Inlet to Daydream Island and the village of Airlie Beach, there are so many things to do in the Whitsunday Islands!
The 74 Whitsunday Islands lie between the northeast coast of Queensland, Australia, and the Great Barrier Reef, a massive stretch of coral teeming with marine life.
Right in the Heart of the Great Barrier Reef, a visit to the Whitsundays is a feast for the senses. The stunning natural landscapes of the coast and islands are dotted with secluded beaches and friendly towns. Whether you choose to base yourself on the coast or on the islands, there’s so much to do, you’ll have to work out how to fit it all in!
Most of the islands are uninhabited. They’re characterized by dense rainforest, hiking trails and white sand beaches. The town of Airlie Beach on the mainland is the region’s central hub.
We hope you enjoyed our Whitsunday Islands video. Though our video guides are designed to provide further awareness into what it might be like to live in the state of Queensland, we’re hopeful that this video will also help you to choose places to visit (or even call home) when living in Australia.
